Dr. Martin Emele (Germany) studied general rhetoric and history and took a doctorate in social sciences at Tübingen University in 1997. While working in the film department of the State Academy of Design in Karlsruhe, he specialized in new media and documentation. Since 1995 he has produced a large number of documentaries (including several award-winning films) as scriptwriter, cameraman and cutter. In 2000 he moved to Kirch NewMedia in Munich, first as convergence manager and later as head of new products. Most recently he has been head of editorial management at Deutsches Sportfernsehen (DSF). From June 2003 to May 2004 he headed the managing services department at ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion (formerly SZM Studios). Since May 2004 he has been Management Board Member, where he is responsible for the technologies department.
