This lecture will give an overview over the possibilities of virtual studios and set enlargement and the application of motion control devices.
About Joe Lewis Joe Lewis (USA) and his company "General Lift" have served the motion picture and commercial film business for over 24 years. From the first light-weight portable motion control system for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers in 1987, as well as designing and building the first underwater motion control system for Hollow Man, to providing live action and model motion control systems for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and continuing on with King Kong. Encodacam was used on I, Robot, Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl and Stealth. Recently he worked on motion control for the Wachowski brothers Speed Racer. He is currently engaged in pre-production for several other major motion pictures.
