INSIGHT OUT offers lectures and practical demos on every step in a HD production chain using recent small and big budget films as case studies. Film crews present their films and report on their experiences with the new equipment and workflows. By having annually changing focus topics, speakers and case studies at INSIGHT OUT, the latest developments in a rapidly changing market are presented.

• The big picture: Participants learn about the entire digital production chain – no matter what their field of specialisation is - in order to understand all issues involved.
• Learn from those who have done it before: The trainers at INSIGHT OUT are renowned experts in their field. Here they share their experience with the INSIGHT OUT participants. Find out first-hand what the advantages and disadvantages of digital production are and what you have to look out for during planning, on set and in post-production.
• Get to see it for real: Thanks to HFF’s world-class equipment and the HD Expo, you will see HD films on a 2K projector, have practical demos on a Pogle colour-grading suite and use the latest D-Cinema cameras.
• Room for exchange: With max. 70 participants and about 30 trainers, there is ample room for exchange of ideas, experiences, projects and phone numbers.
• Stay up-to-date: By having access to the INSIGHT OUT online forum, participants and trainers can continue to exchange ideas and opinions about new developments in HD technology, help each other with advice and search for project partners – even after the symposium.
• DVD Documentation: The entire symposium is documented on DVD, which is a great resource for film school teachers to use in their classes.
